The Teal Pumpkin Project

The Teal Pumpkin Project was started by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) in 2014. The Teal Pumpkin Project raises awareness of food allergies and promotes giving out little toys and non-food items for trick - or - treaters during the Halloween season. Glow bracelets, pencils, friendship bracelets, and stickers are great examples of items that can be handed out. Some non-food treats to avoid are brands of moldable clay that contain wheat and toys that contain latex. You can still pass out candy – just do it safely. Keep candy and non-food items in separate bowls. The Teal Pumpkin Project is gaining more participation every year and makes Halloween inclusive for all children. Click here to learn more!
