Homemade Birdfeeder

Ingredients:

• 2 packets knox gelatin
• 2/3 cups water
• 2 cups birdseed
• Cooking spray
• Cookie cutters
• Wax or parchment paper
• Straws
• Twine

 

Directions:

In a small saucepan, add gelatin to water and stir until dissolved. Turn burner onto medium heat, stir constantly until gelatin simmers then remove pan from heat. Stir 2 cups of birdseed until well incorporated and let cool for a few minutes. In the meantime, line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Spray the inside of the cookie cutters. Carefully spoon birdseed mixture to the top of the cookie cutter and insert a straw to create a hole for hanging later. Place cookie sheet in the fridge for 1 hour or until solid. Remove cookie cutters and straws then tie with twine. (Makes 2 bird feeders approx. 4 inches wide)
