April has arrived, bringing with it the promise of warmer weather, blooming flowers, and an abundance of fresh produce just waiting to be transformed into culinary delights. And what better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with a crisp and vibrant salad bursting with seasonal flavors? Follow these simple steps to create a delicious spring salad that will tantalize your taste buds and awaken your senses to the beauty of the season.

Ingredients:

6 cups mixed salad greens (such as spinach, arugula, and mesclun)

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup snap peas, trimmed and halved
1/2 cup radishes, thinly sliced
1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese or feta cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
Edible flowers for garnish (optional)
For the Dressing:

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Instructions:

Prepare the Salad Greens: Begin by washing and drying the mixed salad greens thoroughly. Tear any larger leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl. This medley of greens will serve as the foundation for our spring salad, providing a refreshing base for the other ingredients.

Add the Fresh Ingredients: Next, add the sliced strawberries, halved snap peas, thinly sliced radishes, and chopped toasted walnuts to the salad bowl.
