Recipe of the Quarter - Salad in a Jar

Make ahead salad in a jar is a convenient way to prep salads ahead of time where the lettuce and vegetables stay fresh even after days in the fridge. All you need to do is layer your ingredients like this:

  1. Dressing (2-4 TBSPS)
  2. Non-absorbent Veggies(carrots, bell peppers, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, etc.)
  3. Absorbent Veggies (tomatoes, corn, avocado, onions, etc.)
  4. Base Carb (cheese, meats, hard-boiled eggs, etc.)
  5. Leafy Greens (lettuce, spinach, etc.)
