What is a loan officer? A loan officer (LO) is also known as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO.) An LO works for a lender and their specialty is to recommend individuals for loan approval. An LO is the main point of contact between a borrower and their lender. They will explain the loan approval process to the client, and obtain all necessary documents for pre-approval. They provide support to the borrower during the process. This career has the unique benefit of being able to get to know a variety of different people, and you get to help them realize their dream of homeownership.

What are some benefits to becoming a LO? One of our LO’s, who is also a veteran in the mortgage business, Lindsey Ramirez says, “I love it!!! There isn't a price you can put on helping people find their dream homes! I love building my client relationships and trust. Knowing I am doing a good deed always puts a smile on my face!  I have never been happier in the mortgage business then I have being a Loan Officer. “

Another one of our LO’s, Robin Holzman, also enjoys the flexible schedule, helping families get into homes, and making a difference in their lives.
